Our Approach
Our curriculum is thoughtfully co-designed with families and guided by the Early Years Learning Framework and each child’s unique interests, strengths, and stage of development.
We believe that play is the foundation of all learning.Through play-based, intentional teaching, educators support children to develop independence, build self-help skills, and explore new ideas in meaningful ways.
Nature is central to our curriculum, inspiring imagination, supporting physical health, and helping children build risk awareness and a strong connection to the world around them.
We are committed to embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in our everyday learning, helping children build respect for culture, community, and the land we share.

FAQ
-
How flexible are the schedule's ?We offer a high level of flexibility to accommodate the busy lives of our families. Parents can choose from full-time or part-time options, with the ability to select the specific days that best fit their needs. Whether you need a few days a week or full-time care, we strive to make scheduling as convenient as possible for your family.
-
What is the student-to-teacher-ratio ?At Kidopia, we maintain a low student-to-teacher ratio to ensure that each child receives the personalised attention they deserve: 0–2 years (Babies): 1 educator to 4 children 2–3 years (Toddlers): 1 educator to 5 children 3–5 years (Preschool): 1 educator to 10 children This approach allows our educators to closely support each child's development, ensuring a nurturing and enriching learning environment.
-
What age groups do your program cater to ?Our programs are designed for children aged 0 to 5 years, with tailored learning experiences that support growth, development, and a love for learning at every stage: Baby Room (0–1 years) A warm, nurturing environment that focuses on building secure attachments, sensory exploration, and early communication through gentle routines and responsive care. Toddlers (1–2 years) An engaging and active space where toddlers are encouraged to explore, move, and express themselves. We support language development, independence, and social interaction through play-based learning. Preschool/Kindergarten (3–5 years) A rich, inquiry-led program that builds school readiness skills through hands-on learning, group projects, and outdoor exploration. We focus on supporting each child’s confidence, problem-solving, and love of learning.
-
Do you have a school readiness program ?Yes, we offer a Preschool & Kindergarten 2-year School Readiness Program designed to give children the skills and confidence they need to thrive in school and beyond. Our program goes beyond academics, focusing on the holistic development of each child — including health, social skills, and overall wellbeing. Plus, with the flexibility of long day care hours, we cater to the varying needs of families while preparing children for their next educational journey.
-
Do you provide progress report's for children ?At Kidopia, we regularly observe and document each child’s learning journey to ensure they are supported, challenged, and celebrated in their growth. Our educators use the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and age-appropriate developmental milestones to guide these observations. We provide families with a Mid-Year and End-of-Year Development Summary, highlighting your child’s progress, strengths, and next steps in learning. This approach allows us to work in partnership with families, creating a clear and meaningful picture of each child’s unique development and achievements.
